God of War

The God of War is one of the four Supreme Gods and is the second born. He is the physically strongest of all the gods and enjoys a good argument (fight) every now and again with either his elder brother or his little sister.

War's Titan is made of the strongest steel surrounded by fire as hot as the sun. The Titan cannot be touched as no one can get within 100m of it without getting burnt save for the Champion of War. The Champion of War is Immortal in every aspect except that he can only be killed in combat but should he be killed the man (or woman but not likely) becomes the next Champion hence why he can touch the Titan to commune with War's demands.

Every 300 years there is a blood moon above the Titan of War, this is a sign of the end of the Champion of War's reign. On that night 20 fatherless children are born and claim their mother's life as sacrifice for their blessed destiny. On the back of their necks can be found the Holy Symbol of War, a skyward facing sword. These children are the Aethlings of War, chosen and fathered by the great God himself. When they are 20 years old the must all commence on a pilgrimage to the Titan of War and fight their way to the arena at his feet. In the arena they will compete in the Tournament of Blood in which only one can survive who will claim the privilege of apprenticing with the Champion of War. When the Champion of War is satisfied with his apprentice's progress he will join his predecessors in Goreverdan (War's domain of the Underworld) and his apprentice will become the new Champion. And thus the cycle of war is repeated until the end of time.

War's Domain is not a stable place like most gods but the battlefield. A constantly changing temple where his followers worship him. Sometimes he would make an appearance on the battlefield when the army he favours begins to loose dramatically or when he's just bored, in which case he will command Death to open a rift to the underworld surrounding the field so none can escape and then rise in the centre of the battle wearing nothing but a loin cloth. As he fought the countless enemies (sometimes from one army, sometimes from both) he would grab weapons and armour and start using them to fight. All who fought him bravely and ferociously would be resurrected and given long, healthy lives.
